Scott is a 1992 graduate of Ohio University where he obtained is BBA in Finance with a concentration in Insurance while lettering in varsity football for four years. He continued is education at Xavier University where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Marketing and International Business. His insurance experience includes ten years with Cincinnati Insurance Company where he worked as a Personal Lines Underwriter, Commercial Lines Underwriter, Field Representative in Kalamazoo, MI and a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing in Tennessee. After building his client base and reputation as one of the top agents in the Knoxville area, he started Tate Insurance Group in 2008. Scott’s book of business includes clients from various industries including: hospitality and property management, manufacturing, construction, mercantile, distribution and services and well as home, auto, life and health. Scott is very active in the community especially with area youth programs. Over the years, he has coached in many youth programs as well as at Farragut and Knoxville Catholic High Schools. He is currently involved with the Emerald Youth Foundation, Knoxville Business Association and a member of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. In 2009 Scott was selected and endorsed by Dave Ramsey as an Endorsed Local Provider for property and casualty insurance in the Knoxville area. Scott, his wife Enid, and their son live in the Knoxville Community and are members of Sacred Heart Cathedral.
